This potentially deadly gas cannot be seen, tasted, or smelled, and the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning (drowsiness, headache, nausea) are very similar to and often confused with a common cold.
The Gas Guardian™ Carbon Monoxide & Gas Leak Protection system has taken the original gas leak protection system a step further by adding a carbon monoxide alarm. When the alarm detects carbon monoxide at dangerous levels (as defined by the UL2034 and EN50291 standards) it will cause the gas valve to close, shutting down all gas-appliances and preventing further accumulation of carbon monoxide. This is all done automatically to protect your property, and give you complete peace of mind.
Equipped with state-of-the-art sensors and an automatic gas shutoff valve, the Gas Guardian™ is an advanced gas protection system. Technological advancements will ensure worry free, long lasting and reliable protection for your home.
The Gas Guardian™ will automatically shut off the supply of gas to your home if any of its sensors detect a natural gas leak or dangerous carbon monoxide accumulation.
TWith RF Ready™ technology, the Gas Guardian™ Gas Leak Protection system can monitor up to 16 Gas Guardian™ Wireless Gas Sensors and/or Wireless Carbon Monoxide & Gas alarms to protect your whole house. (Additional sensors sold separately)
The Gas Guardian™ is powered by a DC wall adapter and it uses a standard 9-volt battery as a backup power source (battery not included). The Carbon Monoxide & Gas Alarm is powered by a separate DC wall adapter and includes an internal rechargeable battery backup power supply for uninterrupted operation when the power goes out.
